graf bld. information

Our activities are based in the graf bld. (building), where we have our shop selling original furniture and original design
products, as well as our cafe, “fudo” (food). In addition to our “mouth” floor, which covers a lot of ground introducing
a range of our activities to everyone, we have also established a design office where we are involved in interior design,
graphic design and product design. We are always thinking about making various items for day-to-day life, and we develop
our activities around the key-phrase “a structure for living.”

We preside over various projects from furniture, space and graphic design to project planning. We receive inquiries from
newspersons and others regarding interviews here. Please note that inquiries in English may take a while to reply to.

With a focus on original furniture and products, we are constantly introducing handicrafts and items from both domestic
and international artists who share our thoughts regarding day-to-day life. We handle requests for special-order furniture,
renovations of residences, and the like. We take person-to-person relations very seriously; we create situations where we
offer the chance to meet the creators behind the objects.

fudo ( 2F )

A cafe full of our original furniture and products for first-hand use. By observing raw materials that have taken root in our
ocal area and the fresh ingredients we get from producers that we have come to know through our activities, we have
proposed a menu making the best use of these originalities and peculiarities. In addition, we are constantly searching for
an element of “palatability” that is not just savoring; we endeavor to create a floor where we share an airspace of “palatability”
with out customers. “fudo” comes from the characters 風 and 土. 風土 (pronounced ‘fudo’ in Japanese) is a word play on ‘food’
with cultural elements. Food = 風土 = Culture, so food = culture. Enjoy.

A floor planning and promoting events and exhibitions with our own interpretation and cut on things of ideas that are discovered
via valuable exchanges and fresh incidents that come from the relationships we have with people from all genres.
